Estate agent contracts have been subject to new legal regulations since 13 June 2014. Estate agents must now inform their customers of their right of withdrawal. To enable us to act on your behalf, please download the right of withdrawal policy on the right, complete it, and return it to us by email.
If you would like us to send you a brochure immediately, i.e. prior to expiry of the statutory withdrawal period, please also email us the completed compensation for services rendered form. Your 14-day right of withdrawal expires once we have completely fulfilled our duties as estate agents. A commission is, of course, only due if you actually buy or rent the property in question.
Under the Money Laundering Act (Geldwäschegesetz, GWG), estate agents are obliged to verify the identities of their customers – before an estate agent contract is signed. Legislation also obliges us to check whether you are acting in your own economic interest or on behalf of a third party.
Under Article 4(6) of the Money Laundering Act, you, as a customer, are obliged to provide the relevant information and submit the necessary documents for review. Estate agents who violate this law operate in a legal grey area and tarnish all those who comply with legislation. So please don’t be angry if we ask you to identify yourself.
